65 Dodge Coronet wagon window trim

Any body put on window chrome on both door windows after a repaint?

This chrome is very hard to snap over the new painted window frames.

I have done a 63 Polara but this 440 window trim is tough. Is there

any tricks to it without destroying my new paint job? Any advice

would be appreciated.

If your paint isn't too fresh you can use masking tape along where your crome goes, to protect the paint from damage. Then just pull the tape out from under the crome. Don't have too much tape under the crome. I like using the green automotive tape or the "fine line" found at your auto/paint supplier...
