Just my 2cents, but you will want to paint the car before installing the glass.
When you do the glass , make sure the gasket and glass are nice and warm, fit the gasket onto the glass. use a nylon rope aprox 1/4" dia that is 12" longer than the dia. of the gasket once the gasket it on the glass install the rope with both ends meeting at the top center, the excess rope should hang into the car and over lap a few inchs.
once you set the glass / gasket bottom over the bottom body lip. { some guys like to run a small bead urethane around the outer steel lip for insurance of a leak free install before setting the glass}. We have done them both ways. you will need a extra set of hands , make sure the bottom is seated all the way across, use a spray bottle with soapy water and spray the he// out of the steel and gasket,
while your buddy puts some pressure on the glass were you work from inside slowly pull one of the ropes pulling the inner gasket lip inside, once you go aprox 6 inchs work the other side. just rotate back and forth side to side,
once you come to the corner it will at times get tuff to get that lip in, keep it wet and if you have to help the gasket pop in use something plastic like a trim removal tool { no metal }. Just keep it wet and have some outside pressure on it, make sure you start off centered and the bottom is set flush and it should pull right in.
