Been looking for Packard type 58 female spade connectors with no luck.
Everyone is out of stock. Walked into NAPA near my house and they said
They could get them from the warehouse later today. I'm hoping they will
be the right ones for the headlight switch and surrounding area! When I
get them in my hand I will report back with fitment and pic's. $0.99/each.

So now I need a new Fuse Block! The double Pink wires are Toast! Now to look on the wiring diagram to see what they go to!
Headlights maybe??? I bought the car with 13k on it back in the 70's, so this damage was pre-Me. Wow. Melted around the
holders for the fuses. Guess the headlight relay harness from the guy on our Forum will be in order!

I found a fuse block on EBay for $39.00, but it had no fuse holders in it. The new blocks with the holders are around $100.00.
Wonder if I can buy the holders from somewhere?

The 56's are not the same. They also have the bent over spade to tighten up the male in the socket. Have
you used these in the plastic holders?

I have re-wired a bulkhead connector with the 56 series and it worked fine.
I think you could use the 56 series in the headlight switch connector too?

I got all the factory-style holders and stacking spade connectors I needed to rehab my block from Del Mar Wire.
They're in So Cal and unless he's retired the owner is usually the guy on the phone. They have many things that may not be listed on the website so best thing to do is to give 'em a call.

I just went on Rock Auto and Low and Behold, they have the plastic plugs with the connectors in them with
about eight inches of wire. These are the plugs that mount on the headlight switch. $1.84 for each I think?

Picked up the female connectors today. The one in the middle of the pic's is the new one
from NAPA. $0.99/ea. They all measure up pretty close. The only thing that is different
is the new one has a small tab sticking out of the leading edge that should be ground off.

Pretty damn close, Paulie. Looks like you already rolled the ends in a bit too.

Yeah Mario, but that Damned Pink wire got my ***! I've got some GXL wire coming from
EBay and it has to be PINK! I'm replacing the 18 Gauge with 16 and will but the relay kit
for $160.00 and be done. Thanks for the link!

The pink wires that were toasty are from the four way flashers! Go figure.

So, I ordered a new fuse block from AMS Obsolete for around $100.00.
Started changing the connectors and when I went to crimp the connector
over the wire, the ear broke off! I grabbed another one and BANG! Broke
another one! I called them and let them know and they asked if I wanted
them to send me more? I said "Thank You, No". I'm going to see if Littlefuse
has them. They're heat treated too brittle and can't be bent. Just warning
everyone about more grief!
