Who has the best quarter panel skins for 68 Charger? I need skins only not full quarters. I see Goodmark- OER- Action Crash- Golden Star- is any one of those better than the other, gauge thickness etc? Paging Mr Dubb

Pay the money, get full AMD quarters and cut them down as needed. If I had to gamble with a non-AMD skin, get one from whoever has the best return policy.

Very pleased with the full quarters from AMD on my 69 Super Bee.

I just bought some amd , they are nice I’m sure they may not perfect but they do look good.. I’m not disappointed at all other than the fact I couldn’t get them for a convertible so there will be cutting and welding.

Full AMD quarters on my fifth GTX. No visual differences between them and the NOS pieces on my current car. The body shop that installed them might have had different experience, but the finished product was excellent.

I wouldn't do those long seams again and you usually have to fight to patch the difficult window corners anyway. I used AMD and they were okay I suppose.

Thanks for the replies.
I am replacing the tail panel and valance too, so thinking now skins only wont work at the aft end where they meet.
Does the full quarter, tail panel, and valance make the entire outside corner? Is there another part in there? I can not tell mine is pretty bad shape
on one side and the other side is missing.
EDIT: I found the AMD valance end caps

I put Goodmark on mine and they fit great, AMD are supposed to be the best.

Thanks Joe, do the Goodmarks have the returns on the back end where they connect to the tail panel/valance? I can not tell from the pictures I have found.

i've done the skins on 70 dodges....lot of work, but thats what was available....... pay attention to the bumper recess area, i try to work around and use the originals

Just cut off and replace what is needed to repair the damage. Rarely do you need to replace a complete quarter panel because of some rust below.

Thanks guys, I decided to quit listening to my inner cheap bastard and order both full quarters, trunk gutters, valance, end caps, valance crossmember, full trunk floor, trunk extensions, outer wheelhouses and forward floor pans from AMD. I already had a new tail panel for it.
I believe that I will thank myself when it is time to do the work!
Just took a deep breath and hit the "Pay Now" button

That will save you quite a few hours and yield a better car in the end. The 68-70 Charger is one of the more difficult cars to weave together. take your time and proceed carefully when you do it.

This is the car- it was posted for sale on here. Looks worse in person.
It has a daylight basement

Are the lines on the full AMD Charger Quarter Panel still way too crisp or has the tooling run rounded them out a bit?

Well: I think the fewer seams the better. Either TIG and metal finish it or change the whole panel. I hate grinding, I hate seams that could possibly leak from the back side, I hate filler, I hate seeing seams on a car when the weather gets hot or cold.

Got er all stripped down and put on the rotisserie, pulled it outside just as the sun set and it quit raining

New panels and floors. They do a good job boxing the parts up, no damage found.
