68 Super Bee project

In the process of getting my dash completed. Still waiting on my cluster but was able to get my dash speaker installed. I’m going to do the fm conversion on the factory radio and decided to go with the dual 3.5 speakers vs the 4x10. I took the bracket from the factory speaker and traced it onto some sheet metal and board two 3 1/8“ holes. I ended up having to offset the tab holes a bit as it was barely touching the heater controls. Excuse the wet paint on the screw heads, I just hit them so you wouldn’t see them through the top of the dash. All is in and fits well now.

Carb is on! Found a correct 4426S Carter AVS. It’s been rebuilt and still has the factory tag. It’s in really nice shape. Battery and cable are next and we’ll probably have to “hot wire” it to fire it. Still waiting on cluster.

Throttle cable from year one minor differences from the original which you can tell someone in the past “fixed” hahaha Also return spring, which I’m just now realizing I didn’t take a pic of, from Parts Mix. I’m looking for the correct pcv hose if anyone has a lead.

Thanks! Yeah I looked at your post and emailed him a few days ago but haven’t heard back yet.

It’s alive!! Had a little work getting some fuel leaks stopped but that’s about it. Other than that she fired right up and sounded great! Got a little tuning To do once we start driving obviously but I’d call it a success!

Somebody got headlights and brake lines. Got the axle lines from inline tubing and the line from front to back from right stuff. All in stainless, as well as the parking brake cables. I’ll snap a pic of those later. Ordered the brake in the box kits from muscle car brakes. They should be here Monday and I’ll do them through the week next week hopefully. Up next wheels and tires. Saving up for the redlines now!

You'll have to post up how the Brake in a Box kit works for you. I bought the front and rear kit for my '68 Charger but I'm a lot farther away from trying them out than you are

Brakes are done, and I got my cluster back from David at PCG. Unfortunately due to his diagnosis he was unable to get them done. So I sent them off to Tach Man in South Carolina. In the meantime Praying for David’s healing and recovery. Got the splash shields in over the weekend DMT’s stuff fits excellent as always. And then today my tires came in from Diamondback!!!

2 of my center caps were in great shape, the other two had some scratches on the black. Taped them off and got em touched up. I’ve been waiting to sit the car on the ground till my wheel well trim came in. Got it today from mega and got it on. Got my wheel bearings adjusted and dust caps put on. It was a pain to find the right caps for drum brakes but finally found these Dorman 13975. They’re for a ford and are a little tight but they work. Finally sat the car on the ground!

Had a nice warm day today and finally some free time so the wife and I got the back glass in. Had to work a few of the clips to get them to do right. I’m happy with the results. It’s hard to judge since I’ve never done a back glass before but it all seems to have fit ok. Followed dadsbee instruction on his build thread and it helped a lot so thanks to him!
