`70 road runner, FC7, 383, 727 It`s waited long enough, finally time to get it done.

After getting a smaller hone and trying to clean the bores up I realized the rust pits are too deep so probably won't seal well and tear up the new rubbers so I'm searching for better ones. Part number 2881613 if anyone has a couple to sell me?

Decided to grab the trunk lid and start pulling back the crimped flange along the back edge. I knew it was swelled from rust but wasn't sure how bad it was going to be, when I opened it up I knew there was no chance of saving it as it literally starting peeling off along the edge. I'm not what I'm going to do - finish pulling the whole skin off, just sandblast and repair the back edge, try to find a nice used one or go with a new AMD? I leaned it back against the wall for now. Sing along - All I want for Christmas is a new trunk lid.
