Thanks 440+6... it's amazing some of the things you can find while doing a restoration.... I wasn't expecting the rockers to be this rough. No worries though, it just means a little bit more welding.....

Hey tdawg looks like a great job on replacing the floor. I'm currently at the same stage, is that a amd floor? How did it fit? And one more question do you think there is any need to brace the car before removing the floor pan, for flex? Thanks

Cool. Just cut out that rot, and replace it with new, don't try to 'save' much, all new stuff is made these days. Rockers are tricky, be careful.

Thanks Deanfitz27, yes that is an AMD floor pan. They fit really well. I wasn't thinking when I got mine, due to it being a post car, a one piece floor pan won't fit through any opening ( door, front windshield... and I tried!) so I ended up cutting it in half ( down the floor hump) and welding it back up when I installed it. If you don't have a post car, no probs, it will slip right in. I just supported the car on jack stands and made sure it was level. I also took measurements at the front and rear of the car as I was replacing the floor to see if it moved ( no movement) as I didn't use any bracing.

Thanks. Mine is a hardtop so it should slide in. I'm hoping to get the rest of the floor out by the weekend and start to install the new one. My car is really solid so it should work well. Thanks again.

While changing the rad saddle from a 22" rad to a 26", I had a few people inform me that only the passenger side support needed changing. I replaced that side and took measurements (before and after) and noticed a 3/4" discrepancy. It took a while to figure out where that actually was, and hence grafted a piece to the drivers side support to rectify that. I don't know if this is just this particular model, or if it applies to all. I hope this might help others if they run into this situation.
