71 vs 72 Plymouth B Body Bumpers

AMD has the 71 bumper on backlog for about 6 months according to Jeff at 521 restorations. Can anyone explain the difference? Can I use a 72 for the time being?

I guess you meant front one, because rear is a totally diff monster

You didn't specify front or rear. The 71 & 72 fronts are similar but 73 & 74 fronts are different, won't work. I might be wrong but, for the rear I think you could use any one from 71 thru 74. The difference is the shape of the tail light lenses and possibly the wiring harness. The thing is that all 4 years use the same deck lid and the distance between the lid and lower trim looks very close if not exactly the same.
