'72 Charger project

well, wish me luck. We are going to put the vinyl top on tonight. This will be my first attempt, but with my two boys, and going slow, I think we can do it

Here are a couple pics from last nights vinyl top project. It actually turned out pretty nice.

Coolage, the green machine is looking tight guys.! Keep up the good work.

that vinyl top definetly adds style to it.

one step closer to getting it to move on its own. Still need to run rear brake lines and assemble the rear brakes.

Yep Matt, That vinyl top looks classy!

The car is looking great...

things have been a bit slow....I've been sick with a cold/cough..worst I've had in a while. I did get the doors painted and hung. Now trying to find where the fender clip nuts are.PA070013.jpg

Take care of yourself first. Don't wear yourself out and get too tired to where you can't put the rest of the car back together. Cars looking good so far.

Don't get worn down and sick! Got to take a break once in awhile my wife always says.. Something about, "If you don't, your body will force you to take a break!" Dis-regard if your under 90 years of age! lol.. Take care Matt, little R&R you have coming to you for sure!

90??-- damn, there are days I feel old, but not that old. My wife must read from the same book, she said the same thing. I have been doing quite a bit lately. Out of a job for now, and Devin is really hoping we can get this driveable for the High School Drags at Milan on the 20th... If everything else goes well, I think we should make it.. He will be one happy kid, but then again, so will i...I get my garage back. And just in time since my youngest is hinting he is looking for a cool car.

nice build, where did you get the vinyl top from and what type of adhesive did you use? I have a 69 Bee that needs a top and just got it back on the road. Keep up the good work and it is good your son will have some metal around him

Thanks.. I ordered the top and trim clips from Dantes mopar parts, althouth the box it came in appears to have been sent from Legendary interiors. It went on better than what I thought. I used 3M high strength 90 adhesive. Its the same glue I used on my VW ragtop and has held up great.

Also, the Nason paint what was the ballpark price for a gallon and did you get it local or online

sorry..not sure on the price. My son got it at his cost from the parts store he works at.

calling it an early night tonight. We did get the rear brakes on and exhaust on and tacked together. The exhaust didn't sit up quite as high as I would have liked..the drive shaft is 3 1/2 inch and needed to make sure it would clear when the rear suspension is unloaded.
