Having a problem when shifting from 1st to 2nd in my 66 Coronet 440 727 trans. When I mash it and shift at around 4-5k it hesitates and shifts at about 6-6.5k. I have to let off for it to shift. At lower rpms it shifts fine. It has a TF1 trans kit. Anyone have a idea. Thanks

Pump pressure is too low... the adjustment is on the valve body where the kick down is inside.... or a seal is bad... given the linkage is set up right....

First make sure your throttle pressure linkage is adjusted right. If its to high it will raise the shift points and you really will notice it at wide open throttle. That has to be right or it will never shift right on its own. Ron
