I have anA833 that came as extra with my car I would like to know a little more about.
The cast number is C99129K
stamped numbers:
0A199154: not sure how to break this down
PP833 3070 0192 If I follow Brewers web site correctly that should be a Dec 23 1969 date code
Tailshaft cast number is C99539
Cover Cast number is C956642

Thanks in advance

I have no idea what those casting number mean, but the 0A199154 means it was installed in a 1970 car built at the Lynch Road plant. This is in fact the partial VIN of that car. The 70 tranny should have the dual shifter mount tailshaft if it's a long shaft unit.

Thanks for the reply and yes it is the long shaft with the dual shifter mount. Is there any way from the partial VIN to tell what type of car?

Not easily if at all. Some cars like the 69 A12's are all made around a specific time so the VIN's tend to fall in pretty close. But the A12 story is a specific example and might not carry over to anything else. Seeing this car was made at Lynch Road one might try to do some detective work to see what cars typically came out of there. For example, Hamtramck was pretty much the Charger home base. Another tip is you might carefully look at the threads on the shifter mounts for signs of which location was used. A long shot as that tranny may have been transplanted from a B body to an E body or vice versa, but if only one set of threads was used that gives some idea which model car it was in.
