Right under the master cylinder works, if you don't mind drilling a hole in the floor, I have one in my 66 with just the knob above the carpet down near the seat adjuster. The body and all connections are below the floor, also near the rear brake line for splicing. You can't use it but my 65 (auto trans) valve protrudes (just the knob again) thru the clutch rod slot.

Ron, 493 Mike is right by mounting the adjuster where you can get to it from the drivers seat. That way you can adjust it, dial it in, when you first set you system up for proper braking. I have also read that years ago, & I was going to do something like that on my 63 wagon.
