American Sniper

The only reason Michael Moore commented is because he has become irrelevant in the national discussion and he needed to get some attention after he was outed for being part of the 1% crowd when was hanging with the occupy wall street idiots. I love how all these type of morons rail on all the reasons that make this country great just so they can make money from being some sort of fake activist that gullible people will follow. Well, if everyone just ignored them, they would go broke and disappear. If he doesn't like this country then I say just GTFO and move somewhere else and shut the hell up! Such a piece of crap he is!!!!!
May I ditto this ?

Saw it last night, a full theater gave it a standing ovation! Awesome!!

My former room-mate's son-in-law was/is a sniper with a stryker brigade from JBLM here, and is currently in the Nat'l Guard. He has completed four tours of duty in "the sandbox" before leaving the army and going into the guard. He lives in the Spokane area, so when he comes back to Centralia, WA for his monthly guard duty, I let him bunk at my place so he doesn't have to sleep in the barracks or spend his guard money on a motel room.

He is very anxious to see this movie and see how much Hollywood has exercised their "artistic license" to make the production.

I'll be getting a first-hand critique as soon as he gets a chance to see it. It'll be very interesting to hear from him how accurate it is.

Tell him for me Rick if you will that I thank him for his Service. From one ol' Vet to another, I know he will be most impressed with the story and its portrayal of this American Hero....cr8crshr/Tuck

The trailers look interesting for sure...
I want to see it, but I'll wait tell it is on TV or out on DVD,
so I don't have to go to a theater...

What can you say about Moore & Rogen ??, actually nothing good I can think of...
Jessie {WWF "The Body"} Ventura isn't all that much different either...

Buds, when I first read this, I thought you wrote "Jessie{WTF "The Body"}Ventura. Lol

A more fitting description I would say...

I read the book about two years ago, this book will stay in my library in Honor of Chris Kyle, Navy SEAL, I'll have to see the movie also.
My review about this book: One of the Greatest Snipers in American History, his story first hand.

I read the book from the library, then I went out and bought the book and gave it to my son. Can't wait to see it. My 24 year old daughter saw the movie and she echoed your responses. Very quiet leaving the theater.

I just finished reading the book and look forward to seeing the movie. Thanks to all veterans who have served and who are currently serving!!!!! May God Bless you.

So, I've been doing some reading regarding Chris Kyle.

I'm having a hard time with the "love" that is being shown here.

It seems to me that everyone is ignoring the negatives of Chris's life and only focusing on the good points.

Does what he did make him a hero? Shooting people from a kilometer away? That's a hero? Bragging about his kills. That's a hero? Making up stories for his book. That's a hero?

You bitch & complain about Michael Moore, who said that his grandfather was killed by a German sniper, and that was considered cowardly but now an American doing the same is a hero.

You bitch and complain about Seth Rogan saying that this film looks like a Nazi propoganda film that was shown in "Inglorious Bastards" about a sniper; But you're doing the same thing.

Honestly, I appreciate that Chris went through hell, as a sniper, but as much as he was a great soldier, he was just as much a flawed human being. And that's the issue.

It's pretty common for us to love and respect those that put it on the line for their country....................... They have the balls to do what others won't or can't so forgive me if I have all the respect in the world for his contribution. Tekhouse is the only thanks haha, so fitting.

Lemme see we got one guy from Canada and his supporter from Finland.......

You two probably agree with Ventura winning the law suit too....get a grip.

I served my time, did you serve yours?

I don't know much of anything about this guy but most, if not all humans have one kind of a flaw or another.....

Well it certainly seems that JV and MM are jerks but, is that some new surprise???? I don't think either one of these guys deserve press. I am planning to go today actually but, I am concerned that going to the movies is like going to a hospital this time of year. Enter at your own risk.
Proud to be an American.

That American killing terrorist a kilometer away was doing his job and doing it profiecently. Terrorist started these events the only thing the military is guilty of is changing their tactics to deal with the sorry s.o.b.

No, I didn't serve in the military, but that is beside the point.

Listen, I have the utmost respect for anyone who has been in combat. Hell, I can't even begin to imagine what those soldiers must feel.

I respect what Chris Kyle did but I'm not going to gloss over his faults.
