Approaching paint on dad's old Dodge!!!

Didn't feel like this day would ever come with the amount of rust repair there was but I'm about 2 weeks away from being there. Can't wait to throw him the keys so that beat up Chevy can finally be put to rest! Here's the first round of priming, a few minor spots had to be filled but it's close.

Must have been poor service, here they are.

Hood had a nice dent that the stud gun pulled right out but my DA blew apart right before I finished prepping the hood. The fenders just got chemically stripped and look good.

It's an 83, nothing special just a good driving 3/4 ton with a 318. He won't know what to do after driving a sloppy beat up 1/2 ton for all these years. I didn't leave anything untouched.

Nowadays 80's are getting to be pretty old... makes me feel old lol. Notice no EFI, if it ain't factory EFI it's officially old.

81 and up....and it's a square top so it's not made in Mexico!

My "Little Dodge" is an 84. I wasn't aware of square top? It is carburated too!

The round tops (like the old style cabs) were usually Clubs and were built in Mexico.....but can't remember when the Clubs were offered again. Had a real nice 90 3/4 ton Club but sold it and a 95 Intrepid when I bought a new 2000 Durango for the new X

Great work. I like them trucks. I had a 80 with a 225/6 4 speed Overdrive with duel tanks. I could go for ever with out stopping for gas. A old man broad sided me and that was the end of that truck.
