There were said to be 67 and red one cruised the main drag here in the 70's. It might still exist.
I recently tracked a 1970 Hemi Challenger R/T a friend of mine had. It had a 440 when he bought it so nobody but me cared back then. I tracked it through him, a few owners after him, and finally a junk yard. I found the car. They guy chopped it up many years ago and learning it was a Hemi car, he said: "I never looked at the VIN". He still has it, but it's a mess.
There were two 500 Chargers in town and the second car's owner is still around, but if all of the Hemi cars are accounted for, I'll only ask him what happened to his.
