Same here, but last year, 2022 Mids, I started asking for it. Leftist next to me at table said I couldn't do that. When the Voters replied "We Should be Showing IT", she shut the fulk up, and took it All Day...

Them/the volunteers all even knowing who I am,
same with my dad, on a 1st name basis & everyone else I saw
that came in to vote... (No, I didn't see everyone either)

There's only like 80+-ish registered people, all US are citizens...
I causally know most all of them too, from walking my dog/s
& talking with most people on the registry in my lil' community...
Like good neighbors all do...
(last I saw or personally know of 79+ R) & 1 D) & he's a lifer tenured
Union school teacher, Obama/Biden, Clinton/Kaine & Biden/Harris
he has the signs/bumper stickers & all, a nice guy BUT !!!!)

It's more for ease of or able to see your name on
the active registered voters' list here,
& it's been purged at least 3 times since I've lived here
they take it/voting & the active list, very seriously here...

It's right at the volunteer fire station right up the street from my house
where I've voted for the past 9 times (11 if you count the recalls)
times over 18+ years
