Best way to clean engine oil out of transmission

Was the throttle pressure linkage connected?

Was some kids beating it to death?

Yes the pressure linkage was hooked up. Wasn’t a kid that owned it. The gentleman that my son got it from , around 60 yrs old, was having somebody in South Carolina work on it. It was his uncles car and he was trying to fix it back up. Brought it up to New York State and only drove it a small amount before parking it.

Just wondering with that ring on the pump being broken if somebody tried to pour in a fix. At least it wasn’t saw dust.

This is the car. 318 poly, 727, 8 3/4 rear unknown gear ratio.

A little motor oil won't hurt a 727. Even a lot of motor oil probably won't.

U got that right. I’ve had to add what ever weight oil I had kicking around in my younger years. Never had 1 fail. Kim

I wouldn't use acetone if there are rubber or plastic parts in there.
