My preface is loving fast machinery and 68 Post Coupe' Coronet is one of my favorite cars, i
deTomaso 4.jpg
prefer small block...i had 3 different B-Bodies, all lesser than R/T Super Bee stature. 69 Charger Creme Yelo/Black Vinyl/blk hydes w/ 318 no sway bar (on any of them) , 69 Coro 500 hardtop, wht/blk vinyl/ green hydes, sport int. bkts & cnsle w/ 318 & the 68 post coupe' w/ 318, copper w blk hydes, bench, that is in a composite photo here, unfortunately not real visible . The project i plan to begin this year will either be 68 post or a good solid unmolested 68 4 door hybrid time a linkin MK Viii will be my donor car of choice....fast revving and quite light motor and an IRS in subframe that won't be huge headache to transplant in Dodge. Below this text are assorted images of Art, Cars & airplanes i've done something with and a few i've owned, like the Mangusta and did a complete on. I have lots of photos past to present in periodically, encompassing last 23 years.....i've been in straightening & refinishing, auto, aircraft & marine for 45 years....the sculpture is a translation of skills developed over that period of time....in the trenches if You will....it don't come easy. I've been carving aluminum since 1975 & started using prop blades in 1996. Propellers are awesome things....totally assymetrical, yet total flow....pure form, pure function.

All glass was done inside & out and the 4 rearward cabin windows have inner panes, so they have to be separated to massage all thos surfaces. Also the airplane was a complete polish....had no reflection before i started. The 310 Q is another glass job, non-pressurized but inner panes also. I'll get some more descriptions on the photos later.

The horned "thingie' is named "the Aluminaughty. Horned was an accurate tag......the piece when held mimicks the sign of the illuminati, where middle fingers and thumb are folded against palm and index and pink are outstretched....they represent the horns of Mollock, the owl....the luciferian emmisary that the illuminati worship and make sacrifices to....obviously the mispelling is highlt intentional and is very much a HUGE DIS to the illuminati PUNKS! When i started carving it out in 2007, i had an incident with a tagger in Hawthorne...big ol punk pos. Ended up in a fight in middle of Hawthorne blvd....piece was in my back pocket so when He swung on me catching the bone over my left eyebrow i went low, grabbed piece out of back pocket and reached around behind his shoulder, pulled in and down....His really nice heavy leather jacket became an instant piece of ****, he decided He didn't want to roll around with me at that point and ran off like the big pussie he was......pay hard dues all my life, i'm 61 and at time was 53, i'm not about to take **** from any punk, even if punk has badge.....taggers are just more worthless welfare problems.....takes a real mental giant to to seek pleasure in defacing someone elses property.

1st time.....i get a lot of others though.....Corneliwedding blade, barto blade, dome n sail.jpgus was a smart mutherfuk'r.......i'll do just fine by that. Thankx for liking the werx.....there's more and i'll organize stuff better. One other category of goods will be guitars and gear....the other racers.....my rig is a nasty little small block in essence........got some horsepower in a a reasonably compact set-up

Pretty awesome rides and pretty amazing work with the props. I'll be sitting behind a set of Hartzell props later this afternoon. They won't be as pretty as yours, more of weathered look, with faded grey paint and a graveyard of bugs pasted to the front. I'll be definitely looking at them in a different fashion after seeing your work. Thanks for sharing!

Blk Rushn 1.jpgMy Bro's old Hondo flatty (UGF) w Landy 522 Hemi,

Thank You indeed Old Folks........something i truly Love to do for the journey....and i manage to turn them too...i've sold almost everyone eventually that i have done over the years.....the Cross "DanaToo" was purchased by an architect in OC, cali whose career was designing Churches...He just saw it by happenstance an asked very nicely if He could buy it. The theme of Cross was Memorial to my Canine Co-Pilot, DanaToo, a Dog with the racer's edge....14 1/2 years. The Man was very fair in His offer. 'ave a Good weekend

I worked with an outfit called moto-art briefly in 2006....these are the Red Bull Air Race Trphies for that year...there were 9 tho only 8 piced here......done from cores like i'm holding....i busted *** and did these in a 5 day week....the mounts were done by others which are gear cams from big Pratt & Wittney/Curtiss Wright radial engines. Dial up moto in search...They build sweet Vintage aviation furniture...they are worldwide now...just opened a huge outlet in China not long ago. Some of my work still shows in on-line catalog

"Embattled"

One i'm finishing up now called "Embattled" A bent prop tip off a "Blade strike" prop, was ground into asphalt pretty well, made a few sets of earrings off it before cutting the Cross window in it, left a few of the deep scars in.....all a metaphor, we live, we fall, we hopefully get up to repeat the process, getting stronger each time, but certain scars remain as a reminder that it takes strength to forge on. The carved box with the inlay was a bonus in the menagerie in which i live, the illusion created between piece and inlay was totally unforseen, adding to the metaphor...is Life an illusion, real.....or both.embattled 1.jpg

This was a good one...in 2006 i worked @ an outfit called moto-art briefly This is a Lockheed Orion/Electra prop blade.....these are full reverse props, so the faces get scoured horribly by debris scatter....blades are cast aluminum....these are the hardest cast i ever cut....in gringing face of blade to get to bottom of damage and de-ripple, i used 15 8" green closed coat 3/M stickit 40 grit discs on a firm 8" foam back pad.....took 5 days to hit bottom. That's the heating element i'm removing...very dense foam jacketed in goodyear rubber....the die grinder was a little finesse....the hatchet?....not so finessed but it did work.....i had to remove so much material anyway that the few divits i made with hatchet came out in process. It is the Blade in the window onthe right side of the composite photo which is from their on-line catalogue. The blade laying down is Douglas DC-3...disclaimer here...my work...moto-arts propertyhatchet blade 1.jpghatchet blade.jpghatchet blade 2.jpghatchet blade 3.jpg moto DC 3.jpg**the middle photo in ad composite is a Lockheed Constellation blade i did there...they are half shot peened...there's a trik. Other photo on left of composite is not me. I did the grinding, long boarding and polishing...the base platforms were efforts of others in shop...."Connie" is mounted on a glass topped engine mount of same type aircraft**

Morning Folks! i'm glad i posted last night..there hadn't been any activity here....i'll be adding time to time. Hatchet man is among my aka's...lol! Kil'r. familiar players and new ones
Ski..ster , always a pleasure to Hear from You, .... Photon 440, the same, Photon, are You Hip to the Tragically Hip....gut level roc n rol from Toronto?
TekHouse, Thanks for asking...nothing across the pond but yes i do sell...this Year is coming on strong...some elite charity auction schedules are being put together right now, am working a commission piece right now. since 75 i've carved aluminum..it talks, peaceful pays proportionately much better than body & paint, funny thing perceived value....in 96 i used my first blade.....i've made about 50 pieces to date and almost all sold...a few were gifts....my push is to have a min of 100 signed pieces before i cak. i use both my family names Dad Stevens, Mom Bridgewater....Stevens Bridgewater and outfit name is "Aluminations"
440+6, Thank You for Your compliments Sir...... R.C....yeah i remember You said You wanted to see the big ones...the electra/orion is just under 8 ft. and the "connie" is a skosh over 8.5 ft..that is without the base gear. I flew a "Connie" when i was 14 , an early model, 749...shot a full approach & landing...15,000 horse power...yikes....She was a stable sweetheart.Thank You to ALL of You....this stuff is my religion...it comes from something We ALL LOVE...CARS....wouldn't matter if i never sold one piece, i would still do it for the Love of doing it....why i started in first place. Every Body have a Bitchin' weekend.....Roc til Ya Drop

If Any of Youse' want to see some very nice work themed on vintage aviation...just google motoart, lots of furniture type items made from aviation hardware...there is a C-130 conference table that i did, but the Waco conference table is to drool over, We had issues, so i left, but respect is mutual..enjoy

Bladecutter!
I'm trying to clear my calendar one Friday and head down South to see you.
Gee, you sat in the Right seat of a Constellation huh?
What a sweet stick that must have been!

Constellation:
Powerplant: 4 × Wright R-3350-DA3 Turbo Compound 18-cylinder supercharged radial engines, 3,250 hp (2,424 kW) each

Anyway, yup, that is some nice stuff your doing down there Bladecutter!

And no matter what RC says, I thought the "Gal Monkey" in the Planet of the Apes Redux with Mark Wahlberg was HOT!

I'd tap that!
