Bought a Daytona...$400.00

2009????? Now I feel even dumber to read all 7 pages ! :gah:

^^^^ Check the dates a thread started before launching into a bunch of reading. :headbang: I bet it was worth it in the end.

Gotta just love an April Fool Mopar-joke.
A guy in England did it back in the 80's.
Exchange and Mart advert, read sorta like this,,,
69 Charger with filled in back window, flat fronted like a 70 Charger and holes drilled for a boot spoiler, but hole are in the rear wings!
£3500obo...
The local phone exchange was jammed with calls and the guy whose number it was was never told about the fake Advert, too embarrassing all round!
Still makes me chuckle 30 years on, cos I was on the phone all day too, what a JERK.
PolyJon.

Great 69 Daytona!
With todays technology, this "Land Mark" musclecar can be revived!

And he only paid $400 for it?

Cool!

"tee-hee-hee"

OP has messaged me to say he's made some real progress on the bodywork lately.

I heard the Hemi only cost him $500 because that's what the seller paid for it back in the day and he just wanted his money back...

Good one!
Glad to see this thread "made it back" guys!

Ha Ha....
Too funny!

But yes, I was fooled by it a looong time ago!

Nope, sold it to him for 3100 because that's what 500 bucks is worth today.....
