Bringing it back to factory specs

Very nice

Everything looks fantastic Brian. It won't be long until you feel as if you have been transformed into the seat of an Assembly Line GTX. Looking original and great!

Thanks, Dave ! What can I say but the level of work you have done on your cars have been the driving factor with me and my families cars. The process' and products that you and your company have developed certainly has helped a ton with restoring this car. If it weren't for ECS, we'd have to settle for an "ok" exhaust system. Now we have the exact, accurate copy of what the factory had put on there, down to the correct bends and sounds that come out of it. I'm sure that Dad will be nervous as all get out driving the car but life is all about chances. Unfortunately, the car is getting finished up at the wrong time of the year to enjoy it. Looks like Dad might just have to sit inside the car and enjoy listening to the radio and making vroom, vroom noises till the nicer weather breaks and the salt is off the roads. lol

Going through some pictures, I came across some oddities in the one inside A pillar plastic cover. It appears the mold was not completely cleaned out or some green plastic pellets were in the tan plastic mold. Check out the green swirls molded within the plastic. Seems they had excellent quality control in 1968 ! lol

Lol, well things have changed, even though some things cant, I guess original means sometimes you have to figure out how to get it messed up right if re-doing it! :)

Well, look at it this way, Ron. We will always know which car this piece came from should anyone ever steal this car! Small distinguishing characteristics makes it nice and easy to tell it from the rest. lol

ROFL, I never thought of something like this BUT, i don't think your the type to let it be some where unattended long!!! :) im nuts enough to put a cot beside it if im out and its not "chained" in my shop lol...

Nope. Our cars are always under a watchful eye. Be it someone in our family or someone else who we trust. Too many sick people in the world. I learned that lesson one time when I came back from checking out the swap meet at E-town and found someone had pulled the radiator over flow hose out of the clips and paid it right in where the fan and belts were. Thankfully I caught it when I was hooking my battery cable back up when I was getting ready to leave the show.

BROKE ARMS,, That is what i think i would need to do.

Well, again, I wasn't with the car so I couldn't see who did it. Now if I had been there and someone started doing deliberate stuff like that, you'd better believe someone would be leaving in an ambulance and the cops would be called.

Well, well, well. Looks like ol' St. Nick stopped by my Dad's house a little early this year! Yup, here is the finished product (minus a few small detail items that he has to open for Christmas !

You have done a sensational job on the car Brian. It looks a million bucks. Congratulations. Your Dad will be delighted.

thanks. He is overjoyed with how it turned out. He actually was a little upset that he couldn't take it for a spin since the roads here in NJ have salt on them already. :(

I admit i was here earlier and checked this sweet girl out and i have to say your dad is in for, and sounds like already has a gift that any father would love!! I do hope you and your dad can get together for a father and son cruise, Enjoy my friend you deserve it!!!

Thanks Ron ! I know we will be bringing it to a bunch of bigger shows this year particularly the AACA ones in VA and out in Hershey, PA. I'm still trying to convince my wife to let me go to Carlisle. Also planning on bringing it down to the Mopars @ E-town show also in 2015.

Good luck, You know the hows on "convincing" your wife! Get on it my friend, get with it!!!!!

Ah, yes, Ron, but the problem is her birthday always falls on the weekend of Carlisle. :(
