Yes, they still chaf the paint and it was scuffed way back when I bought the car in '90 so didn't care. The cables won't be top side when driving from here on out...

My 66 Belvedere II has the same issue, but being an original paint car, it came that way from the factory.

Well it's go time! I need to get this car done so we can enjoy it this coming cruising season. Dropped by the paint shop this afternoon and of course the owner not there, but called me at 4PM. Beauty shop open next Friday, lets get big bird cut and polished so I can float the decals and get the door glass in. Figure it'll be there for a week, as George is going sledding on the 18th LOL.

LOL, hood pin and cable where it can't scratch anything. Most guys lay them out straight across the nose and headlight door.

Nope, gave it to my lawyer to go after their underwriter AVIVA. Got tired of typing ignored emails...

Makes us all feel good about spending money on our collectors car insurance.... Hope your lawyer gets it squared away.... With enough over and above the damages to pay the attorneys fees..

Didn't hear boo from them last week, and knew the owner was off to NB for sledding this week, so thought I'd better do a drive by. As expected, car not touched last week at all and Jake just started on it late yesterday. Front passenger fender done and half of the hood. Looks good but he's got a LONG way to go.

Well 5.5 weeks since I dropped it off and she's finally polished out. On to touching up some paint areas that I wasn't happy with in the back wheel wells and of course the shop owner is leaving for St Marteen tomorrow for a week so I'll finally get it back in April so I can get it finished up ffs. Thank god the Wife's trip to OZ/NZ fell apart for April...
