I'm going to be removing my front bumper, '67 Coronet, to facilitate lifting front end to drop engine/trans/K-member assembly. Is it necessary to remove bumper guards and cushions 1st? Manual only says see Fig 12, 13 n 14 for attaching points, gives no further instructions.

Hi diesel_lv,

The '66 bumper guards attach to the bumper itself, independent of the bumper brackets. They can remain installed during bumper removal.

Cheers! Tom

Actually, after looking at the location on a '67 Coronet, it looks like the inner bumper bracket holes are shared by the guards.

Either way, once the bracket-to-frame bolts are removed, fender support arms and turn signals are disconnected, it should come out.
