Hello all,
I have a question. How do you get debris out from under the cowl area? I can see leaves and what may be a old vermin nest underneath it. I recently purchased this old charger and it has great potential. Just getting everything ready for paint and I would like to get that crap out of there somehow?

Remove fresh air vent box driver foot well area and heater box from under dash. Reach up through openings and remove by hand. Rest can then be blown out with air.

X2, and/or the passenger side, then run a shop vac hose up there.

Might be able to get most out. If there's debris up there, chances are the integrity has been compromised. I now pull the Cowel off if there's any holes at all in it, or around it as this is a now-common rot area. I'm building a 70 Challenger right now for a customer, and, top cowel is junk, probably should change out lower Cowel (Firewall) but, will likely repair a few areas in need.

Thanks to everyone for the help. I got it by dropping the box. Really wasnt much debris at all. Just looked like a lot through the cowl grates.
