was wondering why the clutch in the 72 road runner does not adjust right the linkage is all there and working but it is hard pedal and cant feel it breakover.just enguages and begins pulling all new parts hays clutch an p plate its all loose and not binding something to do with the pedal but not sure what have had 3 clutches in car peddal was not right with any one so what to do maybe the big spring under the dash is not right maybe the throwoutbearing is too long great car but clutch pedal is a drag thanks

Check to make sure the fork is not bent or the bushings in the z bar are not worn or missing. Had a car years ago that did that and found the fork was bent. Hope this helps, there maybe other causes but this is worth checking.

thanks a bunch have had a lot of road runner some with 4 speeds and some autos when i get to the cause ill be back to let everone know. just put in a while back and everthing was like new fork was not bent compared to a new one im thinking it just might the inboard retainer the thing the throw out bearing rides on the old bearings you could grease but the new ones you can not as this i believe also greases the retainer thus making the bearing slide back and forth easier thanks
