I am surprised there has been no negative hater comments from the purists yet.

Cool build dude

Everything I have put in it so far has a Dodge part number on it. People used to do things like this before there were custom custom parts manufacturers to provide adapters and kits to bolt anything to anything else. The Quicktime bellhousing, on the other hand, is nice!

Very cool build ! I will be watching with great interest.

A few pictures of the rear shock pockets before they get trimmed down and welded in…and a few of the front end.

Awesome awesome build. You are doing some fantastic work. Looking forward to following the build.

I really like what you have done here. I like the concept of using newer off the shelf components and re combining them with the old stuff. That is the way older hot rodders used to do it before all the aftermarket stuff showed up. The factory stuff is cheaper by a long shot, better tested and proven. I bought a totaled but drive able 06 SRT-8 for my project for $8500.00 . Price out the engine alone $6,700.00 and the Brembo brakes at close to $8,000.00 aftermarket and you have already realized the price of the car. Not to mention the transmission ,fuel system, computers , harnesses ect. Great job and a real good choice.

I paid $2000.00 for the car, 2500.00 for the trans and bell housing,1100.00 for the entire rear end, and 600.00 for the front end. I still need Brembo calipers and rotors for the front, and a clutch and driveshaft. The 440 that came in the car was complete and ran, but needs to be brought up to date. I plan on putting late model Challenger interior in it as well, full sets are on Ebay for about $1000.00. I'm not really building this car because I'm in love with Coronets….I just couldn't see putting a ton of money into restoring all the stock suspension..only to make it work as good as it did in 1967...

I will be definitely watching this as you go along. This is what I had considered doing with my project but ended up just cutting away the 06 body and placing a gen 2 Charger body on that complete chassis. Not the first time that has been done but it has been a challenge. But again the approach you are taking is something I might want to try in the future with perhaps a 71 Satellite so I will be taking notes. Everything looks top notch so far.

Moving right along! These upside down pics are messing with me though, I was scratching my head for a few trying to figure out what I was looking at haha. Way to go and my hats off to you for tackling such a cool creation.

Here's a few upside righter pic's. And a look in the trunk to see the boxed kick ups and the shock pockets..BTW, this empty srt8 rear end is available…I'm done with it..it cost me $300.00 no center section axles or brakes, but it has never been mounted on a car…if anybody might be thinking of doing something similar!

It's up and rolling…there's no motor and trans in it, and uh, not much of anything else…it's rolling on 29" discs...
