I have a '62 Dodge with a 361 HP motor, does anyone know what the correct original carb would be for this? It has a Carter AFB 4bbl on it, but I'm not sure if that's stock.

Keep digging on here Im pretty sure I remember a post with this info mybe it was kid?

Hey khryslerkid and chignikred, do you guys recognize this carb? This is what was on the car, it's a Carter AFB but the front pad doesn't have the model number. Whoever rebuilt it engraved their name in that spot, not sure if it was already blank there or if he machined off the number.. Blank might mean it was a replacement carb instead of original?

The numbers were probably ground off. Looks like grinding marks there.

Here's mine.

I'm not sure what year they started useing the vacuum pull off. Yours might be newer?

Yeah maybe newer. What a knucklehead if he erased the number so he could write Marv lol.. Not sure what kit to get for this now. There's a 3578S sitting in the trunk, maybe I should use that?

Most kits cover quite a few models. I was researching the vacuum choke pull offs, also called brake, and they seem to be for 1965 and up. I saw one for a '64.

Yikes, well I'm not putting a Buick carb on it.. I'll look around and see if I can find an og. Marv's carb is leaking like a sieve!

I can't believe it, I was looking through some old reg cards in the glove box and I found Marv!!

Thanks kid for all the info. If any of you guys has one of these carbs I need one.
