I had my engine rebuilt and they put in a nos crank because mine was damaged

Thing is the crank is for auto car and the manual tranny bottoms out because pilot hole in crank is not deep enough

Engine is in car. And it’s not coming out

Do they have shorter input shaft. Or can I cut that half inch off of it?

Or is my option

Get a machinist to drill out the crank for a deeper pilot.

Please let me know the best way

I’m sure this has happened before. Thanks

You can cut some off the trans without issue. But keep in mind, that trans is for a non drilled crank.

Lots of posts on this subject here. Use the search function and you will find.

I cut it off. then we put in the drive shaft and spun it while keeping a grinder on an angle to put back the tip. Worked fine. Thanks
