Dang it! Bought another guitar.

For decades I was "spoiled" by the neck on my '86 Charvel.

It's right in between a Gibson and Fender- no others like it.

In fact, after about 6 month of plying it, it was difficult for me to play anything else.

...until I played that Schecter. It's almost exactly the same profile, and it was very natural.

The Schecter's also got that Floyd, that actually does stay in tune, unlike the Khaler on my Charvel.

If my Charvel wasn't the lowest serial number on record, I'd fit a Floyd on it.

I don't use the bar that much, but when I do I want it to stay in tune.

M Schenker is currently touring with the Dean Guitars house band.

They also have Dean V guitars in black/white.

I just don't like the feel of a Dean neck, and I'm not crazy about the headstock shape.

I don't care for the Ibanez neck profile either, but I know a lot of folks do.

There is a Hammer "Slammer" with a Floyd Rose at another pawn shop for $145.....

Music is great, been playing Guitars since I'm 15. "guitars forever!!"My buddy's band need a bass player so I said what the hell how hard could it be . just follow the root notes and lock in with the drummers bass pedal .The trick is to resist the temptation to play the bass like its a guitar .I'm diggin, the bass.its opened up new doorway to song writing. Always looked at music from a guitar players point of view I never really appreciate how great an instrument it is .I control the groove.
Some pics of the good old days and my current bass lineup. don't laugh.. it was the 80's. guitars and cars!!

Very "Spinal Tap", dude!

I have an SDGR 4 string like your second from right.

A bit awkward to hold, but plays great. I'd rather it not have active electronics, though.

I toyed with bass a while back, but really went in a few years ago.

Literally everyone and their brother is a guitar player, but a good bass player is kind of hard to find.

I was pretty stoked when I learned the bass line to "Who's Crying Now" VERY under appreciated.

I'm working on Stone In Love.

I also got I Like To Rock by April Wine. That's a cool bass line, too.

Break out Low Rider,The Joker, N.I.B, or that riff from The Chain, and all the bass haters shut up real fast!

Seen UFO two weeks ago! They still sound very good ! Second time I've seen them in four years. Their guitarist is not Schenker but I would say he's the next best thing. Still 3 original members in the band singer / drummer and keyboards.
I saw UFO in like '82 or something. Excellent! Also saw MSG back then. I got tickets for Iron Maiden in Chicago in June. Daughter has wanted to see them for a few years, now. I last saw them in maybe '82 or '83?

Yep, and the 1979 album features what appears to be a 73/74 Duster on the cover-

I love the part at the end where one guitar is playing "Day Tripper" and another is playing "Satisfaction".

The bass line really ties the song together, and is a prominent part.

Is that a Peavey Bandit 65? ****, i wish id never sold mine.
I Love my old worn out 87 Korean Squire ll.....neck like no other. Very shallow & slim, with flat fingerboard. The headstock is sized between an American Standard & a CBS. I loaded it with Seymour rails,,,cool, cool & hot. Between the PU's and the heavy flatwound strings, it is very beefed up for a Strat, which do tend to be thin with standard single coils. Need to re-fret the old girl.
