Decode 727 transmission for year

1966....good for a restoration unit for the proper car, but kinda odd for any other use. Standard duty, so light internals, still has small input shaft and front clutch assy. So, converter selection is not as easy, but can still be accomplished. Slip yoke at the rear and linkage shift (no cables), so it'll fit in all '66 on passenger cars. Also, I have noticed many aftermarket valve bodies list "67 & up", always made me wonder is there something weird about a '66 valve body??
