Do You Have Ugly Handwriting (might be a good omen)?

Ugly handwriting is an age old tactic to hide poor spelling.
:p

And if you cuss a lot you are highly intelligent.
If you ever heard of the bit by the late Don Imus of WNBC radio, called "swear with flair" that he did at a night club in NYC, you might agree. I have it on an old cassette tape. The album was titled "This Honkies Nuts"!

my writing sucks, dam Im one smart dude

Handwriting has become a lost art along with being able to add & subtract using one's own brain. I took drafting classes where printing legibly was a must. Manual drafting died soon after. Around the time I went to tech school, I think it was the first year the change was made in our calculus class...using slide-rules were dropped to use a calculator. Back then those TX Instruments calculators with all the functions we had to get on them were damn pricy!
Last summer during a power outage, the people at my local gas station were lost figuring out correct change as their system was down needing cash only. They had a calculator to figure it out. Hell, its been years now where I don't know if I could figure it out anymore having used my phone to do any math for so long. All those years in school learning math the old fashioned way, writing skills, etc. being old enough...then came all the training for using computers needing those for work a new learning curve for people in my age group starting 10 years post high school. Different world!

The public schools here no longer teach cursive writing, so, we have been teaching our nine year old granddaughter to write in cursive. She is getting pretty good writing that way and doing so often now. We got a notice from her teacher informing us of this horrible action, tried to reprimand her and wanted us to make her stop. We were shocked, wondering why they want the kids to not know how this is done. I guess learning to read cursive important papers is what they wish to prevent.

That's it. I'd be on that teacher like stink on sh*t. The US Constitution and Declaration of Independence are in cursive. I'd be knocking on the door of the School Board too.

I had to block print on my reports when I worked for the city, and OMG I now have a hell of a time writing in cursive.
