Hi Guys,

This maybe a simple answer but one I need nevertheless.
I've just picked my car up from the panel shop, it's been there for a number of months and has just arrived home.

It's has fresh paint but is covered in dust. My questions is, how do I best remove all the excess dust before it does damage? Should I use air, then wash or what?

Any helps appreciated, I will get a few picks up once it's cleaned up. Car looks amazing with fresh paint.

Thanks

I dont think the dust is gonna hurt the paint. When your ready to was it for the first time, hose off the car a few times before washing it.

Always, always hose a car down before taking a soapy sponge, rag, whatever you use on it. It gets the large crud off the car to prevent scratches, as well as sorta pre-lubing the panel for the wash.

are you sure its just dust and not some over spray also :icon_scratch:

Thanks for the comments gents. Its certainly just dust no over-spray which is nice.
I will be sure to take a hose it it first before sponge. thanks again.
will post a few pics once its been cleaned up.

Forget the sponge...soak the car down and wash it with your bare hands. You'll feel any grit and be more careful.

Try a can of this........
