Boy! That is some nice work. Really enjoy threads like this. I so much respect someone who does their own work like this.

Thanks rlsbee....Glad you enjoy the thread. As far as doing the work myself, I wouldn't have it any other way. Gives a guy a whole different respect for his car when all said and done.

Little bit more done today......

Got my rear preped and ready for some chassis black..

Scuffed the cowl and leveled out the ground down spot welds on the cowl/firewall lip. Getting ready for some PPG Epoxy primer

Replacement spindle should be here tomorrow. Plan on wraping up the front end as well as getting the rear crammed in within the next several days.

Good news!!!

Got that the replacement spindle already to replace the first one that had not been machined down enough. Pretty suprised RSD got me a replacement this quick. New one had the bearing/rotor slide right on.

Getting ready to toss on the GMAX sway bar next

Not a whole lot done this weekend. One of the first really nice weekend's. So, a bit of Sun......Beer........Boat Drinks.......Music......Grillin.......Fishing was on tap.....

Still found some time to work on the old girl. Decided to spray the new Mopar SS springs, rear and k-Frame with Eastwoods Extreme Chassis Satin Black.

Also sprayed the steering link and rods with some cast blast, installed the wiper pivots-seals-linkage, and installed the left side vent box.

Not really any directions about the recommended gun settings, so I went with a 1.8 tip and about 20 PSI at inlet on the devilbiss. Spayed out real nice. No catalyst's/hardener's used/needed with this stuff.

Nice stuff man.

Big thumbs up on the 1.8 and the low air pressure.

Have to crank up the air in the shop this week Will,90 degrees for 3 days.Yuck

Thanks Dave,

With that tip and psi, it was real easy to dial in a decent spray pattern and flow rate.

Thanks again for the post's about the headliner on your thread. I really want to tackle the headliner myself on the RR and that sure gives me a big leap in that direction

95F and ungodly humid this afternoon..Uuuggg!

Never the less, the work must go on.

Mounted the Rear, Mopar Performance XHD Leaf Springs, Edelbrock IAS shocks, Calvert Racing Cal-Trac System, Hotchkis Shackles and Energy Suspension Poly Bushings

Most excellent amigo.

You are so close to putting the bird's feet back on the ground!!

Thanks fella's!! She's been airborne wayyyy to long now. Looking forward to seeing the bird on it's own rubber again.

As far as the rims Matt....15 x 8 in the back 15 x 7 in the front. Undecided yet on tires. Either good old american made Cooper's or BF Goodrich. Rim's still undecided on that front yet. Either Weld Prostar's or Magnum 500's. I have a set of Crager 800 series that I traded Wannadrag for a set of crager aluminum slot's. Probably use those as roller's

Hey Prop,
Your lookin great there, I have a question for you as you seemed to just have dealt with a newer braking system. I am installing the drum to disc conversion from summit. Going smoothly so far but I ran into a snag. I have the old pushrod out of the old MC and it says to use it with the new booster. My question is this: the plunger and spring are still attached to the pushrod, How do you separate the plunger part from the pushrod?

Never mind Prop, I found it out. The instructions tell you to use the old pushrod but give you a new one.
As rosanne rosanndanna would say on SNL......nevermind.

LOL...Good one. Glad to hear you got it figured out. Suprised they wouldn't modify the directions to reflect the changes.

Found a little link on Jegs that folks can use to kind of get an idea what rims (they sell), would look like on the your car. They do have several of our beloved mopars you can pick from, but not all. You can also change the car color, ride height, window tint and rim size...You can also put the wheels in motion (kinda cheesy)

Kind of fun to play around with.. Check it out:
