Feb 20 1964 scheduled production date, the 6004, along with 0220 is the shipping order number. 642 is Dodge polara 500 two door hardtop with a V/8. P5V is white and red vinyl bucket seat interior.PP1 is red paint, roof and body. I don't have info on the L.A. assembly plant, so I can' t do the rest.

other than a build sheet is there anyway to identify what drivetrain the a 64' was built with?

If your car has the standard engine in it it will not be coded on the tag. In your case that would be a 318 poly. Different plants put the codes in different spots on the tag. The 5 could be a auto trans. The other numbers don't make sense as engine codes unless your car was built in Hamtramck.

I have some more information about this car now any help would be great.

What does the fender tag QR 09 mean?

I don't believe that IBM card jibes with that fender tag in post 1. The S0 numbers are different. Tag is 0220 6004. Card is 0508. 4052.

That would be my guess. I would check the body codes to confirm the IBM card is for your car. I'm sure it is but the body codes are a more accurate way to tell than the VIN. Body codes are harder to change than a VIN tag.

The radiator support, on the driver's side. Could be on the top or back of the support, and I believe there is the same code on the package tray. In your case the code is probably 4 5 0508 4052

will you decode this tag on my 62 savoy ? thanks, jim
