Spool type mount. Seems like there are only one type, Anchor 2512, or 2340. Both use the same spool. I bought an Anchor 2512 from Summit. The sleeve around the rubber isolator is super thin. The trans through bolt would not go through the inner sleeve of the mount. so I ran a drill through it and spun the spool in the mount. Pure junk. Summit credited me back the $6.

Is there a good quality mount, or even just the spool available?

I found urethane "caps" to put on an old mount. Worked well.

A while back I bought a "poly", and it was 1/4 " too tall...vibrated so bad had to put the old one back in.

Poly has no give. Almost like a solid steel mount. They will pass vibration in to the car. I would prefer to stay away from Poly in a street car.

Its easy to fabricate a super strong mount . Just pick your poison either solid, urethane or rubber depending on app. I have had great luck using 1/4 inch tube and AR500 plate for flats. Best of luck to you.

Anchor motor mounts are no better

I literally had to go through 10 boxes at five different jobbers to find two that would align and sit proper

Sad

Energy suspension makes good spool trans replacement poly bushings.

True that nothing is made like it used to be.

Last two I bought locally I had to take my grinder with weld cutter blade and cut the bracket loose from the center bolt tube, spread bracket to fit tranny bolts, and reweld bracket to tube. Lotta extra work for a ten dollar part....but that s foreign made crap for ya....

Complete agreement from me ! Anchor mount parts suck I have no idea why summit even lists them. They have to be dealing with a real high return rate.
