Found a 69 RR in the weeds!

Two Words: "Scrap Metal"...

Only if it were a "J" or "M" code would that be worth even considering that undertaking...and maybe not even then... Too many decent projects still out there to subject oneself to that misery... JMHO

ACME

I totally disagree with this comment. I have seen many cars in worse shape brought back to life. It wouldn't be economically wise to pay someone do all the work but a hands on guy will surpass all expectations of what this car can be.

that is so true yfk7b0. It's going to be a nice pile of scrap metal, and then, a nice pile of new AMD stuff to put on it.

They sure can! I would venture into this car, but, I have 2 B Body's, I want to tackle an E body next.

It's amazing how many people refuse to part with their " Lawn Ornaments"

Oh no, he finally sold it after the city cracked down on outside/abandoned vehicles, all along Main Street, Bubba's and their cars were tending to business, just down the road some Hillbilly had about 20 Mazda RX-7 type cars, you know, "I'm gonna fix 'em up someday", he moved his crap out of sight.

Well, they saved the VIN and Fender Tag, the rest is scrap except the front clip; they are going to have me blast it, and they will use it on the floor with new metal on it, a mock up 6.1, vendor parts like AC system, brakes, Alterkation, etc and have it all painted nice with the mock-up or real stuff mounted to show potential customers what they can get/have for their cars. Not sure what's going to happen to the rest of the car; it's pretty bad, but, there's cool writing on the package tray that says some codes, never seen them on a MOPAR before, this is the 999 code color Green car. Also, remember the Thrush mufflers? This thing was wearing a set; talk about memory lane! I took a pic to show you, will do so asap!

donny, what do you mean remember thrush mufflers,i still use them.:):)

I have not seen a set of the Purple colored RoadRunner bird on these mufflers in years! I didn't know these are still manufactured!

if i look hard enuf i might even have the decals that came with the last set i bought.

Here ya go, in it's glory!

No. The 99 paint code (not 99 99) is a code for a special order paint. If Mary Kay had wanted Pink Satellites to give away, they would have had the 99 code on them.

Remember, the 99 (space) 99 is a body and roof paint code. Two codes, two parts of the body

This is correct. 99 is special order color, any color. Code 97 is rally green, like my road runner. I agree code 99 cars are rare...how much they add to value is obviously more market driven.

After all of that it got scrapped! Chop cut rebuild could of saved it,just like the xp charger Thats a shame one of one and they morph it some resto mod pile!

I used to scoff at the Resto Mod scene, but, I'm really fond of it now, not every car should be resto modded, but, who knows? This car will vanish, but the tags remain for an appropriate graft and rebuild on a good donor car.

I have the front clip now to this car, in my shop, they are going to have me blast it, and it will be used as a demo for aftermarket products; brakes, alterkation, air conditioning systems, frame connectors, channelling the car, etc. Hope the tags find life on a donor car!

Actually, the beauty of a 99 or 999 paint code (the 999 is the same as 99 but they used two digit codes for the earlier cars and three digits for later years) is that it gives you license to paint one of those so coded cars ANY color in the universe you want and it is CORRECT.:bootyshake:
