That number is probably what appears in the 1968 factory parts manual. My 67 coronet has the 2580915 motor in it, which according to Galen's list is the correct one. It is dated perfectly for my car. That number is not listed in my 67 parts manual, but 2808801 is, which is listed as parts on the above list. Sometimes parts book numbers and assembly line numbers differ.
