i got a 383 that i put together that runs really strong,but i had to get a new block because the 383 magnum block had a crack in it an when i put it togehter i seen one of the main cap bolts was heli coiled,i used arp main stud kit an lock tighted them in,but now i'm thinking of a stroker kit. I'm wondering if it would hold up to that an nitrous??

Looks like you need to use the Inconel X750 style. Good strenght and High temp range.

I always thought of Heli-Coil as kind of a rigged way of fixing things but after reading their info I am impressed. Almost made me pull my motor and Heli-Coil everything.

A friend had a nasty elephant motor built for his 68 B. Builder did the heli coils on every tapped hole on motor. Said it was a no discussion issue.
