Just happened to be watching Live PD this weekend and saw what appears to be a hellcat challenger from the Richland county Sheriff's department in some of the video around Columbia south Carolina. Just wondering if its really a hellcat. It had the hellcat logo on the c-pillar. I did some searching and only found this video on youtube, but it does show the cars I saw on tv.

Must be a lot of tax base in the area to divvy up for these cars! More agencies have gone to SUV's after the Crown Vic era ended and needing yet more space for all their electronic equipment. Lot's of complaints about the Chargers and Tauris' not having enough room and visibility. On top of this they wear all the gear the gun belts, flak jackets, etc. making for a tough time getting in and out. Many work comp claims from these matters; back, knee, leg injuries, etc. Especially not comfy for donut eaters...

Kowalski wouldn't have made it to the CA border had the police been equipped with these cars...

That's a thunder cats logo not a hellcat

Yep. Thunder cats, ho!

They are indeed heavy but the torque and the brakes make them feel light.:)
I get it. But raw physics, pulling a lot of cornering force, at speed breaking loose suddenly is like being shot out of a gun......it's just a lot of weight to be pitching about...regardless of how good suspension, brakes & wheels/tyres are.....the more weight thrown at them, the harder it is on then.....imagine how much better one would feel if it shed 700 lbs. That's why I love certain B Bods, they are big cars that are reasonably light. Wth small blocks & a good footprint, they are nimble as ****. My old 68 post coupe 440 trim, with 318/bench Coronet..... shipping weight is 3235 lbs. I could do some serious corner carving with that car & it was very forgiving,,,,predictable at limits of adhesion. Hell, I want another one so bad, but shits gotten complicated.
