Highway 50 Ca-Nevada-Utah segment

cool shot

I haven't been on hwy 50 past Placerville/Pollock Pines in a while,
like 10 years now...
I do remember a few stretches of straight hwy & fabulous turns,
but it wasn't as fun in a truck & trailer...

we just had a few good higher elevation storms going east
I hope it stays nice for ya', Carson Pass looks beautiful...

Think highway 50 is the loneliest? Try going 50 miles east of Fallon, and bear right on Nevada 722! God Bless the West. Roads I only dreamed of growing up back East. Stopped for a rawhide like cattle drive and arrived at the B&B outside of Austin. Kept the speed down so there is enough fuel to get to Austin. It's all good. R/T is faithfully reliable.

Fueled in Carver, Nevada after leaving Austin. Made a left on 6 after 40 miles and a sign reads "Next gas 161 miles! Range is about 200 miles. Went 55 mph to save fuel. Brutal. Got 15 mpg.
Didn't think I'd make 93, so got 2 gallons to hold me over from Igor (see pic) behind the Cafe at Rachel. Big Block reliability, not a hiccup. Vegas now, over 900 miles so far on the hinterland loop through Nevada.

Zero fitting. Knocked one off in Los Angeles, might as well knock the other one off in Vegas. Must they point down and bump everything?
