Hood turn signal indicator install 68 charger

Anybody have any tips on how to install the turn signal indicators on the hood of a 68 Charger? I am trying not to chip my new paint

You won't chip the paint. just don't be too rough when you are installing them.

Make sure the metal housings are grounded very good to the hood. That's where I had the most problems.

Agreed^^^ The damn housings need bare metal to contact them in order for them to light and be bright and fully functional. I battled mine for days as I have many layers of paint on the hood. Other than that they are plug and play. Be easy on the nuts too as those studs in the housing aren't super durable and will strip if torqued down on super hard.

don't force it in because if you do you'll never get them out without paint damage, ask me how I know. I sanded the edges of the indicator until it slid in and out easy.
