She has eaten BOTH of my hearing aids within the past 3 weeks and I have not killed her! Took one right off the nightstand, the other fell out when I bent over to hug her and I did not feel it fall out.
Good news is I am a retired Vet so they are free, but it is pretty lame (not to mention embarrassing) for a grown man to use the "my dog ate it" excuse.

neat story, my dog has eaten stupid stuff also. Thanks for your Service!!!!
Russ

Love the dog. Someday you will miss her dearly. Had a dog eat a hole in a gallon of bleach once. Replaced the carpeting in that place because of him. Then had 10 more years that I wish I still have. Miss him every day.

Well of course you didn't kill her, she ate your hearing aids... you could'nt hear where she was!!! Sound's like you need glasses too. At least then you could've looked for her.:toothy9:

My girl. When she goes I will be heartbroken. IMG_1022.jpg

You need to take the dog to the vet and check on those hearing aid batteries!!!

i found the batteries with the pile of junk that used to be the hearing aids. I am sure she swallowed something but not the entire assembly, just destroyed them!

That's good. Ni-Cad batteries are especially toxic to both man and beast, when ingested.

My lab chewed the corner off a new coouch in one afternoon while i was gone. I think she did it just to get back at me for telling her to stay off! But still have to love them.

That's good info Patrick 66. I never thought about that as a potential problem. Our dogs are our kids. I'd hate for something to happen to them. Especially if it was something I did by accident.

I got mine from the VA too.

I'll make sure they are stored away from where my Shepard can get to them when I'm not wearing them.

Thanks man! I don't know how to turn them right side up. My Coronet is a '67. She wont come into the garage, too noisy. My wifes dog just died three weeks ago and we miss her all of the time.
now we can see your girl she is a cutie !View attachment 272849 lets see some shots of her and that 70 of yours !

Sorry for your loss. It tears your heart out when that happens. We lost two of our girls last year. My wife's little poodle and my chocolate Lab. Had to put both of them down for health reasons.

Sucks.

As you can see my photo flipping skills aren't the best either.

At least your dog's doesn't eat it sounds like just a chew toy till its boring. My dogs get it it's gone . My female dog is know as the garbage disposal at the vets office. She had so much trash in her guy it filled 3 sandwich bags full after it was removed.
Since we're posting dog pics I love mine andlove putting there pictures up so if you've already seen them sorry here they are agen
My Shepard(black one) is at the vet just got his man hood removed today I go pick him up tomorrow.

Thanks the old looking Shepard in the middle is dead ,I found him a few years back in bad shape ,pound wanted to put him down I said no he'. Comeinghome with me they Saud he will be dead in a week
He lasted 1 year and 3 mouths he was one of the best dogs I've ever had they guessed he was around 13-14 years old it was hard to tell he was way under weight blind missing his teeth heart worm positive hip dysplasia coverd in flees toe nails curled under his paw and so on he was very sad looking

There are tears in my eyes as I type this. Had to put our old girl of 12 years to rest last Saturday. My wife and I are inconsolable, beyond grief-stricken, heartbroken. If she could have talked to me her last day, this is what she would have told me:

If it should be that I grow frail and weak
And pain should keep me from my sleep,
Then will you do what must be done,
For this — the last battle — can't be won.
You will be sad I understand,
But don't let grief then stay your hand,
For on this day, more than the rest,
Your love and friendship must stand the test.
You wouldn't want me to suffer so.
When the time comes, please, let me go.
Although my tail its last has waved,
From pain and suffering I have been saved.
Don't grieve that it must be you
Who has to decide this thing to do;
We've been so close — we two — these years,
Don't let your heart hold any tears.

My pup ate a bunch of cotton from his bedding & started crapping it out the same afternoon...

Maybe the hearing aids with any luck, will come out the same way...LOL
