I agree with Jay about Ethanol

They make carbs and carb kits to run ethanol gas.

There is some federal legislation going through the current congress to reduce ethanol subsidies and to change from corn based ethanol to more efficient plant based ethanol like switch grass.

How often do you run your vehicle? I used to drive a 360 powered pickup with a 650 Holley on it and the 10% crap would mess up the rubber parts in short order and on stuff that sat for much time at all showed corrosion on the metal parts. If you drive often, it's not so bad but for stuff that isn't run often, it's a killer. Now I'm also thinking that Leno's older carbs might not have better metal in them.....?

We've had E10 in Minnesota for over 20 years. My Charger sits all winter (6 months) with E10 in the tank and fires right up and runs just like the day I parked it. Still has the same Holley carb for 20 years and hasn't melted off the intake or dissolved any rubber hoses. Charger gets 2-2500 miles/year, sitting is the same as driving, fuel is in the system no matter what.
Have a 1951 G John Deere with a cast iron carb, that sits right beside the Charger for 6 months. Fires up and runs, no rust in carb and the fuel stays clean. 1969 John Deere combine with an aluminum carb, never a problem.
Have a 18 year old $69 Weedeater that starts on the 2nd pull every summer.
