I fixed it!

My yard machines run on a VP can as well. They make a kit that's an insert that goes in the center of the cap, with a hose nipple, and a nice 2' long clear hose a little larger than a garden hose. I added a hose clamp to the hose (it's 'designed' to be a press-fit), and it works great. No bullshit levers/buttons/vents or any of that crap.

Got a couple of those also. Work like a charm!

Looks like RCs gas can found his Viagra! Lol. You don't need a gasoline can where we live, they are outlawing lawn equipment!

It was the lawyers. I designed the gas can on the left in R413 post. The company's name was Blitz and the had a lot of plastic automotive stuff which I also designed. The idea was to design a plastic can that cost less to make than the others. So I incorporated the handle into the body of the can. They saved a few cents and they sold like crazy. I didn't design the nozzle they just used the same nozzle the old type of cans used. Then people started to not use common sense and the lawyers swooped in. The nozzles got more and more complicated and finally, Blitz sold the molds to a different company.
