Everything going along great trying to fix fluid leak. Got old seal out with yool, no prob. After removing e-clip and rubber seal I pushed shaft into valve body. I don’t suppose there is any to get it out w/o dropping pan and valve body? I really didn’t want to screw with that!!! Any suggestions guys? Thanks.

It looks like I can see the end of it, any chance you can carefully fish it back out with a magnet?

Valve body as well, or no? I think it’s inevitable at this point.

Hey look at it as a good opportunity to put a shift kit in it!

That’s just the kickdown shaft IIRC

I don’t think you have to drop the vavle body or the selector comb.

I knocked out my seal from the bottom since I didn’t have that tool. Bonus was it let me clean/polish up the surfaces that the seals ride in so they seal good.

I have pics here of when I dropped mine:

There’s just a lever at the end of that shaft that dropped down:

Now I’ve just got to figure which fasteners these are securing the pan. Seem like 12pt. but I can’t remember…

Might be this Summit part, +2 qt. but no mention of the specific hardware.

The bolts are 5/16-18.... The standard deal with 12pt bolts is the socket size is the same as the thread size...
So 5/16-18 = 5/16 12pt socket
