I'm more of a Resto-mod guy, but I love
Racecars, Day 2, Resto-Mod, Pro-Touring & Pro-Street genera too...

Unless the first car pictured has air bags that can be dropped after parking, I want to see it walk over parking lot speed bumps. First to piss on the Parade. Who wants a car you can't drive? The GTX was towed to the photo op.

Im still partial to it, only because it can go off the rails quick imho. Like saw blade tooth rotors. Thats a bit much. Wheels with too much positive offset and tires with too little aspect ratio. Its tough to get the right combo on cars that originally came with 14 inch wheels. I rememver when getting 15 inch wheels was hot ****. Lol

Not everyone wants {or needs} to drive their cars daily or
put thousands of miles on them at a time either,
they still love to drive their baby,
maybe not down dirt roads or fly over speed bumps either,
mine can & I surely won't/don't...

That doesn't mean they/I don't drive them either,
or they can't drive long distances, I just choose not to...
It just means they are much more selective of where &
how they are driven...

Not everyone has that same stereotype & not all cars are the same,
not all owners are the same,
not all cars are equipped the same way either,
not everyone has the same taste...

Yeah maybe some are just show cars/trailer queens,
maybe some are way low, some maybe too low,
maybe some are way overdone,
maybe some probably need to have the bugs worked out too,
maybe some are fast & some maybe not so well tuned either,
even if they are driven daily...

I know if I go across the country,
I will put mine on/in a trailer more than likely &
probably tow with the RV or truck...
I know mine, it's far from a trailer queen,
but than drive it when I get there...

I don't need to prove:
I'm not somehow better, by driving it thousands of miles &
putting more unnecessary wear on stuff, when I don't need to,
it's not in my budget either, that I really don't want or need to replace every year,
if I don't have to...

It's a pass-time, it's not controlling my life...

I say;
Different strokes for different folks,
we are all different people different personalities...
What I do isn't what all or everyone else does, or should do...
I don't challenge others to have to be like me either...
{well except politically minded...LOL}

I also rarely stay in motels either, haven't for decades now...
I'd rather camp or RV than spend all my money in motels either...
I'd rather have the tools spares & support/tow vehicle close or the RV/my Bed close...
It's a crutch maybe, BUT
That doesn't mean I don't drive my car,
I just choose not to drive it thousands of miles "always"...
I can totally respect those that do, I just usually don't...
I spent allot of money, mines still not done, it's not my bigist priority
& I cherish every time I ride/drive in my car,
I have other things to spend that time on,
even if it's only going around the block a few times or to town 5 miles away...

Hell I rarely leave the county anymore...LOL

I don't need to drive some thousand miles, each way to be happy,
I'm content in my own skin & my own area, I like what I choose to do...
There's far more important things then to be in my car for days at a time,
been there done that way too many times, when I was younger,
I don't need to prove anything now, I do what makes me happy &
not someone else's idea of what's good/right for me...

And I'll challenge you to a race on an average everyday country road......... you know the ones with lots of turns! How about we even race looooooooooong distance while we're at it? I'll be laughing at you and your 1:1 ratio final drive tranny screaming down the road while my 6 speed is just humming right past the gas station! Your either a bitter old man or just poking fun because nobody that hates modified cars would intentionally visit a thread that's soul purpose is to give those cars a home. Maybe we can get Joey to start a new Forum labeled "Bone stock or nothing" just for you? Here 's my Restomod. BTW I drive it nearly everyday, kids ball practice, trips to the ice cream shop, I even let the kids eat in it because it's soul purpose is enjoyment for the whole family.
