I'll be the 1st to post here

And I'll challenge you to a race on an average everyday country road......... you know the ones with lots of turns! How about we even race looooooooooong distance while we're at it? I'll be laughing at you and your 1:1 ratio final drive tranny screaming down the road while my 6 speed is just humming right past the gas station! Your either a bitter old man or just poking fun because nobody that hates modified cars would intentionally visit a thread that's soul purpose is to give those cars a home. Maybe we can get Joey to start a new Forum labeled "Bone stock or nothing" just for you? Here 's my Restomod. BTW I drive it nearly everyday, kids ball practice, trips to the ice cream shop, I even let the kids eat in it because it's soul purpose is enjoyment for the whole family.

Thanks for kicking off the new Forum with some sweet rides Bud!
Awesome Charger!! Do you have a closer pic of the stripe on the back?

Pretty sweet cars. These were at the Detroit Autorama. The Red one is a member of FBBO, but I don't recall off hand who it is.

Dennis, what is wrong mate? 'appreciate all cars', mate yours is very nice and I thought it had a heap of mods anyway, yes there is probably some cars out there that get trailered everywhere, but definetly not mine, it is not nice enough for that and I like driving and fixing that's all.

So why all the negativity?

By the way cool vid.

Great new forum. Looking forward to being part of it. Most people modify their cars in one way or another. It don't mater if it is a newer stereo or a modern engine it is still a modification. I think if it is your car build it and use it as you choose. I love to see purest cars as well as wildly modified cars. Looking for new ideas for my up coming 68 charger build. Thanks to everyone involved in this new out take on B body cars!!

Yeah Goon I mentioned that over in the "let's get a pro touring forum thread," probably the procharged 440, viper t56 install, and Doug's megasquirt/efi thread would all be good to move over here

A few more pics of frankenstein I left out over the past couple years:

Yup gonna have to inquire and see if we can have those moved over.

The Hammer's instrument cluster is just absolute perfection **Drools**

Mine was more of a Rat Rod than anything as far as the paint goes but it was lowered with 15x7 cop car wheels and decent tires and used way off spec alignment to help the handling. There was so much camber in it that you could easily see it. The front end was only 1" off the lower control arm stops and the rear was about 1 1/2" lower than stock. It's just a /6 car with ac but I put it into some freeway interchanges that modified ricers wouldn't follow me through (can't drive or afraid?) and the damn thing didn't even have sway bars on it! It was my everyday go to work car for 10 years until 98. I will work on it this year if it kills me and it very well might but I have no problems with the Pro Touring scene although some do go a bit over the top for me.

I might even start a new blown efi project thread here aside from my buildthread just to have it easy to get to :shruggy:

And I know!! I tried everywhere possible to find somewhere that would do the inset boost gauge for me like that, but redline said they don't do any custom modifications to backlit autometers ? Maybe they would with a different brand, I don't know. But right now I'm just planning on a rearranged "stock-ish" type layout in a custom carbon fiber panel like in that one picture up there, and either white or maybe orange backlit like the Hellfish cluster, really like the orange against all the black

Cranky I don't classify mine as Pro-Touring either,
for one thing no A/C, no power anything, no big rims either {I love my Halibrand's},
but will be lower than most/handle better than most/some when done,
with a Calif. raked stance :headbang:

I actually don't know how I'd classify mine
IMO it's more of a 68 RR
Hot-Rod/Drag-car that will corner well/Resto-Mod/Custom with mostly stock body lines
see that's a mouthful...

Adding a separate thread for the Blown/EFI or even just the EFI would be good here as it's going to be so intricate.

Since I'm going to have Speedo issues too I've been in touch with Dakota Digital about a VHX system. They can add both Boost and Wideband for me but it will be in one of the smaller displays not in guage format I believe. Here's their reply to me:

Mike,

You can add up to 16 additional gauge readings with our BIM-series of expansion modules. These additional readings will be displayed in the LCD message centers, any two are visible at one time.

Check out the BIM-03-2 and SEN-09-6 for boost, and BIM-13-1 and your choice of aftermarket wideband controller for A/F. We do not offer a wideband controller, only the ability to read and display information from an existing unit.

I also really like how understated the Hammer and Maximus interiors are, a little modifed but it doesn't look like stevie wonder's interpretation of a fine art gallery in there with some hokey tribal design looking steering wheel lol

HYRDGOON I was going to go with the 6bbl/six-pack F&B Throttle body
http://www.fbthrottlebodies.com/ great guys to deal with too,
Units from 900cfm-2300cfm they aren't cheap but my 6bbl set-up was $3,300+ min
with adj. ProMax adj. Holley jet plates for the outboards
A Quickfuel Metering block with adj. air bleeds & emulsion tubes for the center carb,
then polish the venturies, then flow test
than the 50cc pump kit,
A/N fittings/lines & adq. electric fuel pump & bypass regulator etc.
various jet sizes,
multiple sizes of squirters & accel. pump cams etc.
that stuff starts to really add up fast,
for about another $1000 or probably even less a few years ago now,
I could have gone with the T&B kit 6bbl EFI...

the one below was a custom RB kit INDY manifold etc.,
probably even more $$$

I know what you mean Budnicks! Now I'm in that crappy position where I just bought everything new last year with my crate when my intention was N/A and then I got ahold of a used Procharger and now I need to completely change my fuel delivery and ignition system.

Hindsight is 20/20 but we make the decisions with that we know off hand and it still looks like you have a pretty impressive setup!

For Speedy! I'm not necessarily happy with the video but first time out with my Dashcam
