I am about ready to start my new motor up. Pump Gas motor, not looking to squeeze every last HP out of it. It is an iron head, 440 with ~9.3:1, 270/.470 Hydraulic cam, an 800 CFM Edelbrock carb and headers. MSD Blaster coil and a Procomp electronic ignition set-up.

What plugs and what timing should I start with? I appreciate the input.

start with 10* advanced for stock motor, work your way up. probably no more than 16* with this motor i would say

Thanks. BTW, sweet ride!

What plugs and heat range would you suggest?

I'm assuming you've done everything necessary for the cam break-in. Champion RJ-12YC, start at 12 BTDC .

plugs suggested above,
i use 6 heat range ngk plugs but stealth heads require special plugs.
