Wondering if this was an original 1973 440 starter

Looks like one to me, not sure if its original to the car, but its a Chrysler starter, and its missing the gear cover.

Wonder where it is. Is it worth anything it would be sold as a core (non working)

It is probably cheaper to get a hi-torque mini starter than the cost to have this one rebuilt and replace that missing cover.
