I could cut it off and use it as a shim.

Just hate being tied in a knot with this thing.

I don't know for fact the saver thickness will hurt your starter gear engagement.

Just don't toss the cutout piece, you never know. I'd be looking why you can't get the starter in?

Headers, i knew it had to go in before the bellhousing. I didn’t think about it interfering with the block plate, but it does.
