Hey guys, Trying to put this thing back together. can somebody tell me which header bolts from front to back on both sides need to be longer to extend into the water jacket. installed summit header bolts and she is already leaking without starting engine. Do all header bolts need to be replaced or just certain one's?? Thanks, steve

this is a 69- 440 motor

End bolts only. Seal with white Teflon paste. My mistake i was thinking small block. I still advise the Teflon paste

so I can use the bolts that were supplied by summit(which are only about 3/4 in. long) and just put Teflon paste on them? Do I have to drain part of the coolant to do this? Thanks

Basically you'll have to drain the coolant down a way and even then you'll probably still get some dribbling out of the rearward bolt holes. As for a sealant- that has been pretty much a debatable topic since year one I suspect. Some use Teflon tape with good results. Others have had problems. I personally used non-hardening pipe dope on mine.
